- Tell us a little about yourself...
I have been running, cycling and exploring the peaks north of Sheffield for a number of years since I started working at Sheffield Hallam University. It is claimed that once you move to Sheffield you never leave, and I like to think I've found my own perfect space here.

- What's your favourite outdoor spot in Sheffield?
The spaces closest to my own doorstep are my favourite. The rugged raw beauty of the moors west of Langsett, across to Bleaklow and Kinder Scout; the views from Wharncliffe crags and the steep climbs around Bolsterstone and Bradfield are all worthy contenders for my running affections.

- What, for you, makes Sheffield the ideal "Outdoor City"?
The diversity. Whether it be activity type, routes, weather, terrain, people or places for post exercise socialising, you can find it all here.
